She now works from home and is the caretaker of her husband, Gary Johnston.

She also helped start, and wore many hats with, the Flagler Warriors Football Program, as well as raising their two sons.

Marine Corps celebration

Marines, family and friends are invited to attend the U.S. Marine Corps 246th Birthday Ball. Social hour with cash bar begins at 4, with dinner, ceremonies and dancing 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at VFW Post 8698, 47 Old Kings Road N. Cost is $50.
