Monoclonal antibody therapy treatment site to close in Ormond Beach

Local hospitals such as AdventHealth Daytona Beach and Halifax Health Medical Center are offering the treatment.

The monoclonal antibody therapy treatment site at the Ormond Beach Senior Center will close on Friday, Nov. 5.

The site, located at 351 Andrews St., was opened by Gov. Ron DeSantis on Aug. 19. According to a press release by the Florida Department of Health, the state has been working to transition monoclonal antibody therapy treatment administration to locally-operated providers. 

"The state of Florida successfully deployed and expanded state-run, lifesaving monoclonal antibody therapy treatment sites statewide," the press release reads. "Throughout this process, the state has worked with a robust network of community partners to ensure the health care sector is equipped to administer monoclonal antibody therapy treatment to Floridians."

These local providers are currently offering monoclonal antibody treatments:

  • AdventHealth Daytona Beach, 301 Memorial Medical Parkway
  • AdventHealth Deland, 701 W. Plymouth Ave.
  • Halifax Health Medical Center, 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd.
  • AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, 401 Palmetto St.
  • AdventHealth Fish Memorial, 1055 Saxon Blvd.
  • Halifax Health /UF Health Medical Center of Deltona, 3300 Halifax Crossings Blvd.
  • Family Health Source, 2160 Howland Blvd. #110
