Publix Super Markets opened its new store in Ormond Beach on Thursday, Nov. 4.
The Publix at Halifax, located at 101 E. Granada Blvd. in the former Lucky's Market building, spans 27,981-square-feet and includes a full-service bakery, deli as well as departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce.
“We are very excited for the opening of our newest location at the Publix at Halifax, and we look forward to continuing our long relationship with the community of Ormond Beach,” said Chris Norberg, Publix Jacksonville Division community relations manager in a press release. “Providing residents with the premier service and quality products they have grown accustom to is a privilege.”
The store will also feature a Pours department, which will have freshly-brewed coffee, tap beer, wine, smoothies, açai bowls, kombucha and other beverages, all which can be enjoyed at the bar, the store's outside seating area, or while shopping.
Publix currently operates 1,286 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia, according to a press release. The Publix at Halifax is the third store to open in the city of Ormond Beach. The store will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
