A drug house has been busted.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, with the assistance of the FCSO SWAT team and the Bunnell Police Department, executed a Narcotics Search Warrant on May 12, in the Palm Pointe Apartments, located at 4600 E. Moody Blvd., in Bunnell.

This search warrant stemmed from undercover operations conducted by the SIU in response to numerous tips and complaints filed by concerned neighbors within the complex about suspected narcotics sales occurring out of apartment “4J.”

During the execution of the search warrant, two adults and one juvenile were located at the residence. The target of this investigation was Kinjata Kwame Toussaint. Detectives seized a number of synthetic cathinones, approximately a ¼ pound of cannabis, and various drug paraphernalia.

“This guy is no stranger to us and this just goes to show you that we will continue to shut down illegal operations and drug houses,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Our SIU and SWAT team did another great job and now he has a new room at the Green Roof Inn. After multiple run-ins with the law for the same charges, he's had enough opportunities to turn his life around and refuses. If you suspect drug dealing that is ruining your quality of life in your neighborhood, send us a tip to [email protected]."

For several months, the FCSO and BPD have been receiving complaints about the entrance gate(s) to the complex being repeatedly damaged by customers to gain access to the complex to purchase narcotics from the apartment.

Kinjata Kwame Toussaint was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell, Possession of Synthetic Cathinones, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Facility on an $8,000 bond.

This is not Toussaint’s first encounter with law enforcement. He has previously been arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Equipment, and an Out of County Warrant.

Due to small children residing at the residence, the Department of Children and Families was immediately notified of this incident.

This investigation is still active and further charges may be pending.
