Four armed men broke into an apartment on Bacher Street in Bunnell at about 4:06 a.m. on Jan. 6, pistol-whipped a resident, held him at gunpoint and stole two handguns and $2,205 in cash, according to a news release from the Bunnell Police Department.

Three suspects have been arrested: Jeremiah Daniel Cook, 21; Stephen Harmon Monroe, 22; and Carson Bova Ankrom, 18. All are Palm Coast residents. The fourth robber has not yet been caught, and the case is still under investigation, according to the news release.

The robbers got into the home by breaking a window in the living room while the resident was asleep, according to an arrest report. One robber punched the victim and another pistol-whipped him and demanded that he give them his guns, the victim told police.

The robbers then ransacked the home, took the cash and guns and fled in a dark blue four-door KIA car.

Bunnell police officers spoke with the victim and broadcast a description of the suspects.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies found the KIA in the 500 block of U.S. 1, conducted a high-risk traffic stop and detained the three occupants. The victim identified them as the robbers, and deputies arrested them.

When law enforcement officers searched the car, they found the stolen cash and firearms, plus a 9-mm Smith and Wesson pistol on the rear floorboard with a bullet in the chamber, according to the arrest report.

“The coordinated efforts between the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Bunnell Police Department led to the arrest of three violent criminals," Chief Tom Foster said, according to the news release. "Cooperation with our law enforcement partners and stakeholders in the community is the key to successful resolution of these cases.”
