Tiger Bay Clubs in Flagler and Volusia counties are teaming up to host a virtual town hall with federal and state elected officials exploring timely topics including Space Force, MedNexus, and state and federal budgets, focusing on how issues like these will affect residents and businesses in the two counties.

U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz, State Sen. Travis Hutson, and State Rep. Paul Renner will discuss their 2021 legislative agendas and their plans for working together. The forum will be moderated by Flagler club President Greg Davis, Volusia club President Nancy Epps, and Flagler Young Executives Chair Walker Douglas. The event will be streamed and broadcast live 7-8 p.m. Jan. 13.

Waltz is the Republican congressman for Florida’s 6th District representing all of Flagler and Volusia and portions of Lake and St. Johns counties. Hutson is the Republican senator from the 7th District, which includes Flagler, St. Johns, and northern Volusia. Renner is a Republican from the 24th District representing Flagler and parts of Volusia and St. Johns, and he is the Speaker-designate for the 2022 legislative session.

“This will be a consequential event bringing together our national and state elected leaders, providing their insight and priorities for Flagler and Volusia in the coming year,” said Davis.

“Tiger Bay Clubs across the state banded together to produce a series of open discussions on subjects of interest during the last election cycle and the programs were exceptionally well received in the community. We look forward to continuing this cooperation on the regional and state level,” said Epps.

This virtual event is open to the public, and no advance registration is needed. It will be streamed live on the clubs’ websites and Facebook Live pages, and simulcast live on Flagler Broadcasting WNZF TalkRadio 94.9 FM / 1550 AM and the Spectrum Flagler Government Channel 492.
