A neighborhood meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, to discuss the proposed Tymber Creek Apartments project planned for 36 Tymber Creek Road.

The meeting, to be held at the Coquina Presbyterian Church at 2085 W. Granada Blvd., will discuss the 300 multi-family units and associated site improvements on the 19.62-acre site, according to the city staff report for Nov. 13.

The apartment project is planned to occupy the land currently behind the Walgreens at 2001 W. Granada Blvd. Plans submitted to the city show an entrance into the complex through the retail pharmacy store parking lot.

The plans also show there will be 10 apartment buildings, all three stories tall and containing 24-26 units each. This is the only apartment project currently in the works in the city of Ormond Beach.

The landowner is seeking a future land use amendment and a rezoning for the project.

The meeting was originally planned for August, but was postponed due to COVID-19.

To accommodate people who may not be able to attend the meeting in person, the meeting will also be available to view on Zoom. The public can submit written questions or comments about the project to [email protected]
