Bulldog Bash

When: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Where: Ralph Carter Park, 1385 Rymfire Drive, Palm Coast
Cost: Free 
Details: Parents and guardians will be able to meet with guidance counselors and graduation coaches, check student grades and attendance, sign up for free wi-fi hot spots, meet with food services and learn more about sports, clubs and tutoring. Free food, music and games as well as a passport gift card giveaway. Call 437-7540.

Friday, Nov. 22

Festival of Trees

When: 6-8 p.m.
Where: Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway Northwest, Palm Coast
Cost: Free
Details: Trees and wreaths decorated by civic and community organizations will be displayed throughout the library and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will meet with children to kick off the holiday season.  Live music will be provided by the Sunshine Mafia, a family entertainment group.
“This is a free event sponsored by the Friends of the Library each year to get a start on the holiday season,” said Library Director Holly Albanese. “Community organizations get to show off their decorating skills and there is plenty of entertainment for adults and children.”

Saturday, Nov. 23

Kate Miller art opening

When: 6:00-9:30 p.m.
Where: 802 East Moody Blvd., Bunnell
Cost: $15 for adults, free for children
Details: Kate Miller will be the featured artist at Salvo Art House.
“The appeal that Kate’s always had has been Modernist,” said Salvo Art Project owner and curator J.J. Graham. “Her newer work is quieter, more meditative.” 
Graham said the opening will feature much of Miller’s more active and colorful early work as well.

Facing Grief Together

When: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Where: Vitas Office, 4 North Old Kings Road, Palm Coast
Cost: Free
Details: A local self-help bereavement support organization, formerly known as Compassionate Friends, for families that have experienced the death of a child, grandchild or sibling, sponsored by Vitas Healthcare.
The meeting is open to all parents, grandparents, and siblings over 18 who have suffered the loss of a child of any age. Call 610-428-3139. 

Sunday, Dec. 1 

Festival of Wreaths

When: 1-3:30 p.m.
Where: The Windsor of Palm Coast, 50 Town Court
Cost: Free
Details: Stroll through the exquisitely decorated community and bid on holiday wreaths. Enjoy desserts and hors d’oeuvres along with live music. Create a wreath to be auctioned off, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Flagler Humane Society.
Space is limited. RSVP by Friday, Nov. 22 if you plan to donate a wreath. Completed wreaths need to be dropped off at the Windsor by Wednesday, Nov. 27. The wreath with the highest bid at the festival wins its creator a $100 gift card. Call 313-8717 to RSVP.

Candlelight Service of Remembrance

When: 5-8 p.m.
Where: The Garden of Memory Mausoleum, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach.
Cost: Free
Details: Family and friends bring a Christmas ornament in memory of a loved one and place it on a Christmas tree. Live entertainment and light snacks will be provided.    
"Every year, we have attendees provide feedback to us that attending the Candlelight Service of Remembrance brings them comfort during the holiday season," said Allen Whetsell, general manager at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Ethan Bortnick, A Celebration of Music

When: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Flagler Auditorium, 5500 East Highway 100, Palm Coast
Cost: $29-39
Details: The PBS personality, recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's youngest solo musician to headline his own concert tour, will be performing alongside Flagler School choirs and finalists from a national PBS talent search for young people. Order tickets at Call 437-7547.
