Jeep Beach aids Food Brings Hope

VCan2020, Food Brings Hope initiative, was one of 35 organizations to receive a donation from Jeep Beach Inc. to help eradicate hunger and homelessness for youth in Volusia County. Charlene Greer, of Jeep Beach, presented a $5,000 check to VCan2020 Director Mary Cortez. VCan2020 provides help to those under age 25 with immediate hunger and housing relief. Accountant sets up shop

 

Noreene McEvoy, an accountant with 25 years of experience, has opened a tax preparation and accounting service at 600 S. Yonge St., Suite 6A. An enrolled agent with the IRS, she will work with individuals as well as small businesses. An Ormond Beach resident for 23 years, she spent the last 15 years working for a local certified public accountant. She said she can help a business get their QuickBooks organized. Hospice volunteers sought

 

Halifax Health-Hospice seeks caring volunteers to provide assistance with patient meal preparation, front desk, patient visits and building maintenance at any of its four Care Center locations, which includes Ormond Beach. Contact Bianca Diaz at 386-425-4674 or [email protected].

 

Beach cleanup, party set

 

Restaurant Row Ormond Beachside has planned a third beach and river cleanup that will be held before a block party on Nov. 24. The event will be at Tipsy Taco, 746 S. Atlantic Avenue.

Registration is from 10:30 a.m. to noon; beach cleanup is from noon to 2 p.m.; river cleanup from noon to 3 p.m. and the block party is 2-6 p.m. Restaurant Row is a merchants’ organization with a goal to help businesses grow economically and aesthetically, according to a press release.
