Saturday, July 21

Red Hats Society meeting

When: 11:30 a.m.

Where: Oceanside Beach Bar and Grill, 1848 S. Ocean Shore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Cost: Free to attend

Details: The Red Hat Society Palm Coast Chapter, Purple Passion, will soon celebrate its 15th anniversary on Sept. 15. There is no membership fee, and all that’s required is a red hat. The group usually meets on the third Saturday of the month at a local restaurant. Visit https://www.redhatsociety.com.

 

Dive-in movie

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool, 339 Parkview Drive

Cost: $1

Details: Families and friends will watch a movie on the giant outdoor movie screen while floating around in the pool. July’s flick is “Sing” (PG). Admission is $1. Call 986-4741.

 

Friday, July 20

Turtle Talk: A Sea Turtle’s Journey

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, 3100 S. Ocean Shore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Cost: program is free with park admission

Details: Participants will learn about the sea turtles' life cycle as well as their habitat, behavior and the important role they play in "the real Florida." All ages are welcome; minors must be accompanied by an adult. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. Guests will meet at the beachside pavilion on the east side of the park. Monday, July 23

Flagler Votes Hob Nob

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE 

Cost: Free admission

Details: The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, the Flagler County Association of Realtors and the Flagler Home Builders Association will host the Flagler Votes Hob Nob before the August 2018 primary election. Guests will be able to visit candidates at their tables, ask questions and having their “voter passports” initialed before turning them in for a chance to win prizes. Attendees will also be able to participate in an electronic “straw poll,” the results of which will be revealed at the end of the evening. For more information, contact Jimmy Millhollin at 246-8585.

Compassionate Friend's meeting

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: VITAS Healthcare office, 4 N. Old Kings Road

Cost: Free
