Friday, July 29, 7:30 p.m. at Flagler Playhouse, 301 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell.

Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat and other favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical Jr., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony award-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.  The themes presented (kindness, acceptance, self-esteem, fostering of imagination, faithfulness, etc.) are simple enough to be understood by children, and universal enough to touch the hearts of even the most Grinch-like adults.
