Stonewood names president

Steve Papero, chief operating officer of Stonewood Holdings LLC, which operates Stonewood Tavern & Grill and Peach Valley Cafe restaurants, has been promoted to company president. The announcement was made by L. Gale Lemerand, chairman and CEO. Papero will keep his duties as COO.

Papero has led the recent renovations of several Stonewood locations that feature a new Gastro Tavern concept. He also instituted a new management concept to Stonewood, in which five regional managers also are general managers themselves at one of their region’s restaurants. Papero said this gives the regional managers an operational credibility because they are general managers themselves.

Papero has spent much of the past 15 years with Stonewood Holdings LLC, co-founding Stonewood Grill & Tavern and Peach Valley Café.

Papero lives in Ormond Beach with his wife, Lenora, and two children.
