Parade of Homes

A home built by the Palm Coast-based DEL Construction company won the Parade of Homes’ top honor, as well as the grand award and realtor’s choice award for its category.

The five-bedroom home, called “The Telluride” and located on a five-acre plot at Flagler Beach Polo Club West, is 4,700 square feet.

It has a heated pool, five-car garage, four bathrooms and a half bath, said DEL Construction owner Pete Lyden.

“I don’t just do model homes; I’m a true design homebuilder,” he said. “My philosophy for building is getting the right team together. I have been using the same subcontractors for years, and it took a while to find them.”

This was Lyden’s second year participating in the Parade of Homes, an annual event by the Flagler County Palm Coast Builders Association.

This year, there were 28 entries. Lyden said it seemed like about 1,000 people showed up to visit the home, sometimes coming several times.

Last year, one of DEL Construction’s homes won the grand award and was runner up for the realtor’s choice award.
