Eat it and Weep: Sweet Waters hosts grand opening

FLAGLER BEACH — Owners of the Tuscan Grille, Kathryn Policastro and Dawn Romero, will hold a grand opening 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, for their latest culinary venture, Sweet Waters Smokehouse Bar & Grill, in Flagler Beach.

Sweet Waters will feature live music on the deck with Tony Neil, playing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by Old Haw Creek,  3-7 p.m., as well as local arts and craft vendors, Mondo the Magician, a cotton candy machine and a bounce house. There will be giveaways all day, as well as a raffle for a gas grille to be given away at halftime on Super Bowl Sunday.

Raffle tickets will be $1 each or six for $5. A portion of the proceeds from the raffle will benefit the local charity Sarfari-Save a Furry Friends Life Inc.

Sweet Waters is located on the Intracoastal Waterway by the Flagler Beach Bridge and is family-owned, featuring seafood, steaks, homemade soups and house-smoked barbeque.

Daily happy hour specials are offered 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Sweet Waters will also be hosting a Super Bowl Party on Sunday, Feb. 2, with three large TV’s in the boathouse on the water. The band 2/3’s will also playing from noon to 4 p.m.
