Florida Hospital Flagler has selected Navreet Somai as its new regional director of clinical and support services for Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler.
Somai, who has been with Florida Hospital for nearly three years, will be responsible for managing the clinical and patient support services of oncology care for the five Florida Hospital facilities within Volusia and Flagler counties.

New operating room manager appointed
Florida Hospital Flagler has selected registered nurse Jorge Cuellar to serve as operating room manager.
Cuellar will oversee daily operations, set goals and ensure staff care.
Cuellar served Florida Hospital Winter Park’s emergency department for two years and has been a registered nurse since 1992.
Bi-Lo Holdings invests $4,680 in Samaritan Ministries
Samaritan Ministries has received a $4,680 grant from the Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation, a nonprofit in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
“These funds will have a direct impact on underserved woman and children or those who experience gaps in food stamp allotments,” Samaritan Ministries Executive Director Lorraine Vickery said. “This also can provide food for special needs, such as gluten-free and sugar-free foods not usually available at food pantries and are higher priced at stores.”

Flagler Dental Associates gives kids smiles
Flagler Dental Associates’ Flagler Dental South office will participate in the Volusia/Flagler County Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile Day Feb. 7.
Staff will volunteer their time to aid local, low-income children from 8 a.m. to noon at their office at 97 Flagler Plaza Drive, in Palm Coast. Each visit will include a dental exam, cleaning, fluoride treatment, and, time permitting, cavity treatment.
