The 31st-annual benefit dinner and auction for Father Lopez Catholic High School, in Daytona Beach, was one of the most successful ever, with over $70,000 raised for the school and its 407 students.

The highlight of the evening was the raffle drawing for one year of free tuition at the school. Bill Hunter, who retired last year after teaching 28 years at Father Lopez, drew the winning ticket that belonged to John and Tammie Gray, of Flagler Beach. They will be enrolling two sons at Father Lopez next year.
