First-grade classes at Bunnell Elementary School have been studying the life cycle of butterflies. The butterflies hatched from their cocoon and the students set them free Friday, March 22.

Thanks to the school’s K-Kids, the butterflies have a garden of their own to live in on campus. Students planted butterfly attracting plants to aid in the first grade’s annual butterfly release.
