Elsworth R. Rosenberger, 69, of Bunnell suffered a “medical emergency” while driving along Palm Coast Parkway around 12:14 p.m. Wednesday, and later died at the hospital, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Preliminary investigations show that Rosenberger was traveling in his 2012 Ford Fiesta east on Palm Coast Parkway. Ronda Garner, 52, of Palm Coast, was stopped in a business parking lot, waiting to enter Palm Coast Parkway eastbound.

Rosenberger suffered an apparent medical emergency, according to the report, and veered from the travel lanes into the business parking lot. The front of Rosenberger's car collided with the left front of Garner’s 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Following the impact, Rosenberger's car rolled over and came to a final rest straddling the right turn lane of Palm Coast Parkway eastbound and the grass shoulder facing south. Garner’s truck came to a final rest in the ditch south of Palm Coast Parkway eastbound, facing west.

Rosenberger was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler, where he was pronounced dead at 1:04 p.m.
Garner suffered minor injuries, according to the report.
