When Linda Gray Kelley was running errands last week, she discover she had lost her wallet. She drove to her previous location, Staples, and got on her hands and knees to look for the wallet. After two hours, she called the police.
As the police motorcycle pulled up in front of Staples, Officer Michael Van Buren held up the wallet.
“Sure enough, there it was in all its bulging glory,” Kelley said. “He explained that a woman turned it in. ... This was a miracle.”
Who was the miracle worker? Carla (Penny) Nungesser, of Palm Coast.
“It seems that honest people do exist,” Kelley said. “All I can say is thank you, Penny! God bless you and Officer Van Buren.”
