Jamesine Fischer, who is planning to plead not guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of a Nov. 10 crash involving death, will not be tried in Flagler County.

"The 7th Circuit State Attorney R.J. Larizza had requested Gov. Rick Scott reassign this case to another circuit, and it has been approved," Public Information Officer Klare Ly said in an email at 10:54 a.m. March 15. "The 18th Circuit Court will be prosecuting this case."

She continued: "This will benefit everyone in this case to insure a fair trial."

The 18th Circuit Court covers Brevard and Seminole counties.

Fischer is the wife of School Board member John Fischer.  Jamesine Fischer misled medical personnel, saying 76-year-old victim Francoise Pecqueur fell down on her own, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
