The Florida Department of Education recently released Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Program Provider Kindergarten Readiness Rates, which are based on a school's reading rates and student progress.
In Flagler County, Christ the King Preschool received a 100% readiness score with St. Mark Christian Day School, United Methodist Christian School, Sunshine Academy LLC, Trinity Loving Care Early Education Center, First Baptist Christian Academy and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool all scoring 90% or higher.
On the other end, Jet’s Daycare Inc., The Adult Education Early Learning Center summer program and Kings Academy of Palm Coast all logged a score of 50%, which is the lowest in the county.
Out of 34 VPK providers in the county, 11 centers didn't have enough students to be measured for a score. Those providers are Bamby’s House Learning Center, Flagler Beach Montessori School Inc., Montessori School of Palm Coast, New Bees Quality Care LLC, Sunshine Academy of Flagler summer program, A Little Preschool House, Bright Beginnings at Heritage Academy, Children’s Select Child Care, and Les Petits Pied Christian Academy.
