Flagler County Emergency Services will host its 2012 Hurricane Expo, titled “Flagler County Prepares!” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

Steve Letro, National Weather Service chief meteorologist, will be the featured guest, hosting informational exhibits, emergency vehicles and more.

The Kids Witness Weather Station will be looking for junior meteorologists to broadcast the weather live on the WNZF Saturday morning radio shows, as well, from the EOC broadcast booth. Kids can also try on real firefighting gear and have their picture taken with Freckles the Fire Dog.

Flagler’s first responders will demonstrate their internationally recognized paramedic skills, as well, and prizes for disaster-supply and first-aid kits, weather radios and other items will be held throughout the day.

The event is free. For more, call 313-4200.
