The July First Friday Music in the Park will take place 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 6, in Veterans Park, Flagler Beach.

The headliner will be the Navy Band: Wind Ensemble, a 40-piece group performing a variety of music ranging from traditional marches and patriotic flare to classical favorites and Broadway tunes. Capt. Nick and other artists will also be on the songwriter’s stage with special guest Tony Neal.

Bring your own white T-shirt for tie-dyeing or purchase one for $5.

Other weekend events are:
Kids’ Reptile Program - 6-7 p.m. at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach. Join Park Ranger Lauren to explore Florida’s reptiles! Kids will learn about turtles, snakes, alligators and more during this fun, 45-minute, hands-on program. All ages are welcome and children must be accompanied by an adult. The program is limited to 20 children.
 

Flagler Surf Series - 8 a.m. south of the Flagler Beach Pier. All divisions of surf start at 8 a.m., there will be a corn-hole tournament and a tug-of-war tournament at noon.
 

Kids Triathlon - 8 a.m. at Belle Terre Park, 339 Parkview Drive. This new event is free of charge and is one of several activities scheduled for a month long celebration of National Parks & Recreation Month. Registration is required, call the Parks & Recreation Department at 986-2323.
 

Harry Potter Wand Tournament - noon at the Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway. Ages 5 to 95 are to participate in theh tournament. Pre-registration is required with Ms. Sharon. Wands are furnished. Following the tournament, there will be a movie matinee at 1:30 p.m. Movie rating is PG13.
