Jack and Ann Leidi, of Clubhouse Drive, have been chosen as the Garden Club at Palm Coast’s January Selection of the Month. They moved to Palm Coast in 1999 and have planted a variety of shrubs and trees on their saltwater canal lot.

The front of the yard is manicured with ligustrum, pittosporum and cypress shrubs. Roebellini palms flank the entrance to the home.

Near the island bed with the Japanese lantern is a large weeping Yaupon holly and a native sabal palm. Podocarpus, African iris, liriope, asparagus fern and red fountain grass are planted in other beds.

Weeding is not a problem; they used stone as mulch in their gardens. Jack’s hobby is to shape the Yaupon hollies, which are also found in the backyard, along with a large weeping willow which cascades over the seawall.
