Poppe, Korn named teacher, employee of the year

Flagler County Schools named Flagler Palm Coast High School reading teacher Sarah Poppe as the 2012 Teacher of the Year Thursday, Jan. 12, at a reception held at the Flagler Auditorium.

At the same event, Barbara Korn, VPK instructor for Adult Education at Bunnell Elementary, was named the Flagler Schools Employee of the Year.

“I need to thank all my students, whether I’ve coached you or you’ve been in my classroom. You’ve all inspired me, you’ve challenged me, and I’ve learned from you everyday,” Poppe said.
