The Have a Heart for the Arts 5K drew almost 200 runners to the beach. The event acted as a fundraiser for the Old Kings Elementary School arts program.

The race raised $2,000, which will be used to purchase musical instruments for sixth-grade students.

Old Kings music teacher Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue Lt. Rodney Harshbarger and Old Kings physical education teacher Mike D’Ascheberg organized the race.
