Steve and Bonnie Biedermann, of Claymont Court North, have been recognized as the February Selection of the Month by The Garden Club at Palm Coast.

Last year, they re-landscaped the front yard, eliminating all the grass except where required in the swale. There are several masses of yellow and pink California daisies, a clump of ornamental pampas grass with its majestic white plumes, orange-red flowers of the firecracker plant, pansies, purple verbena, blooming geraniums and yellow iris.

The shrubs and trees are also colorful this time of year, with the dark blue berries of Indian hawthorn, bright red berries of Burford and other holly trees, red spikes of bottlebrush and an oleander which is just starting to flower a light pink. The variegated leaves of Jack Frost ligustrum, shell ginger, and the colorful red leaves of firepower nandina along with the groundcovers of junipers add color and texture to this beautiful landscape.
