Laurence Amuso has published his first novel, “The Road to Missoula.”
The book tells the story of an Italian immigrant family. It details the challenges, joys and triumphs they face from the time of their arrival at Ellis Island at the beginning of the 20th century and through the decades as they learn to balance their Italian cultural heritage with the ways of their new home in America.
Amuso has worked as a police officer, community college instructor and chairman of the Tallahassee Community College Criminal Justice program. He is now retired and lives in Palm Coast.
