In three unrelated domestic disturbance calls last week, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office reported three weapons being used by the victims or the suspects.

April 20
During an argument at 8 a.m. in the R-section, a man attempted to choke a woman. The woman tried to call 911, at which point the man grabbed a pogo stick and attempted to hit her with it.

When deputies arrived, the two were still arguing. The man was arrested and taken to jail without incident. The woman said she wanted to press charges.

April 22
A woman first picked up a knife and cut a man’s hand when they were arguing.

He retreated, but then she grabbed a ceramic bowl used as the dog dish and threw it at the man. It broke, and when deputies arrived, they observed broken, bloody pieces of ceramic on the ground. The man had a cut on his hand and forehead.

The woman was transported to the county jail without incident.

April 22
When a man attempted to do harm to his wife, including threatening her with a gun, the 21-year-old son retrieved a samurai sword and told the man to get away from his mother.

The man was arrested and later released on bail.
