Lt. Gov. Frank Consentino, of the Kiwanis Club of Flagler, Palm Coast was installed to serve on the statewide Board of the Florida District of Kiwanis.
The Florida District of Kiwanis, which covers Florida and the Cayman Islands, is composed of 9,000 members in 280 active clubs.
Consentino will serve as the liaison between the nine Kiwanis Clubs of Division 7, which covers Flagler and Volusia counties, and will serve on the 34 member governing Board of Kiwanis, which oversees all branches of the Kiwanis Family. He succeeds Lt. Gov. Alan Burton, of the Kiwanis Club, of Ormond Beach.
Consentino assumes his leadership role Oct. 1. His term of office ends Sept. 30, 2012.
The Kiwanis Family of organizations includes Kiwanis and its Service Leadership Programs: K-Kids in elementary schools, Builders Club in middle schools, Key Club in high schools, Circle K in colleges and universities and Aktion Clubs for developmentally challenged adults.
