+ Dodge ball tournament raises money and toys
Flagler Palm Coast High School held its second-annual Charity Dodge Ball tournament Thursday Nov. 10.  The tournament started in the school gym with 16 10-person teams facing off in a single-elimination tournament, with the winning student team having the chance to play against a team made up of faculty members.

Admission to the event was a new toy or a cash donation for the Toys for Tots program. The event raised $365 and a cart full of toys.

The winning student team, The Alpha Males of FPC, was led by Dillon Prince.

Each contest was best two-out-of-three games, with a 15-minute time limit. In the student-vs.-teacher faceoff, the teachers took the first game. The time limit ran out during the second game with both teams having exactly three members still on the court. The teams agreed to add five minutes to the clock and do one more faceoff. At the end of the five minutes, balls were still flying but the Alpha Males had the most players. The teams agreed to a draw.
