The Palm Coast City Council will see two new members when it meets Tuesday, Nov. 15, for its first meeting after Tuesday's election.

In the District 1 race, Bill McGuire, with 50.47% of the votes, defeated incumbent Holsey Moorman, who had 49.53%.

For the District 3 seat, Jason DeLorenzo, with 50.34% of the votes, defeated Dennis Cross, who had 49.66%.

Out of 50,059 registered voters, 5,813 voted, for a total turnout of 11.6%.

As the results became more concrete, DeLorenzo thanked his support group and all the voters.

"It's been a really long road," DeLorenzo said. "It was an incredible experience, and I met so many wonderful people along the way, but I really enjoyed it."

McGuire, who rallied from behind thanks to absentee ballots to top Moorman, said he thinks his victory was largely in part to voters being disenchanted with who was already in office.
