Carol and Dan Raymond, of 5 Kalorama Court, have been recognized as the Palm Coast Garden Club’s December selection of the month.
The Raymonds moved to Palm Coast in 1999, from Massachusetts. Queen palms flank the front entry along with a large pot of white-flowered plumeria, pots of geraniums and a lovely salmon-flowered azalea in full bloom. Carol, the main gardener, continually adds new plants to their landscape and has created an island bed in the front yard, which contains a pineapple palm, bottlebrush, loropetalum, and perennials. Knockout roses and yellow, white and cream flowered angel trumpets are planted along the sides of the house and in the backyard.
A large shed, where Dan works on projects, is camouflaged by a trellis with cape coral honeysuckle and Carolina jasmine and hanging baskets of orchid cactus and staghorn fern.
Pots with flowering plants decorate the stone patio in front of the shed.
