Through its new Doorstep Hazardous Waste Program, the city of Palm Coast is now offering home retrieval of hazardous waste items residents previously had to haul off to the dump.

Items like old paint, motor oil and pool chemicals are eligible for retrieval by WastePro. To schedule a pick-up, call 586-0800.

Other accepted items include household cleaners, pesticides, motor oil, fluorescent light bulbs, antifreeze, paint and household batteries. All chemicals must be for residential use, not commercial. All products must also be disposed of in their original containers, not placed outside in recycle bins.

Any materials left out for pick-up should be left at residents’ front or garage doors — not their curbs. For more, call 986-2339, or 586-0800.
