The Halifax Humane Society's annual Dog Park on Ice event brought in dozens of pups ready to slide around bare-pawed or in skate booties. Some loved the ice so much they tried to eat it, and others looked longingly at their owners, waiting to be picked up.
There were two 15-minute sessions for both small and large dogs, and a Christmas costume contest.
