Palm Coast — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect believed to be connected to a series of cigarette thefts at local convenience stores.

According to investigators, the most recent incident occurred Tuesday, March 24, at a RaceTrac located along State Road 100 near Seminole Woods Boulevard. Authorities say the same individual may be responsible for at least three separate thefts in the area.

Detectives say the incidents follow a similar pattern. In each case, the suspect reportedly backs into a parking space, enters the store, and waits for cigarettes to be placed on the counter during a transaction before grabbing them and running out of the store.

Earlier thefts tied to the investigation include an incident at a Wawa store in January and another at a Circle K on March 22.

Law enforcement officials have identified the suspect’s vehicle as a Nissan Pathfinder and are asking for the public’s help in locating the individual.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911 or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS.
