Bunnell, FL— Kenyetta Victoria Clay, 33 of South Daytona, was arrested on an active arrest warrant following a criminal investigation into the fraudulent use of employer fuel cards.

The Honorable Circuit Court Judge Dawn Nichols signed the arrest warrant charging Clay with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, a felony, and Grand Theft, a felony. The court set bond at $2,500 for each charge.

Clay turned herself in at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility in Bunnell, where she later posted bond and was released.

The investigation began on February 18, 2026, after Bunnell Police responded to a complaint involving the unauthorized use of fleet fuel cards assigned to SMA Healthcare’s Project Warm facility in Bunnell. As the investigation developed, evidence showing Clay, while employed with SMA Healthcare as a behavioral health technician, used fleet fuel cards on multiple occasions to purchase fuel for her personal vehicle.

Detectives reviewed surveillance video, fuel account records, internal business documents, and witness statements. A total of 32 fraudulent fuel transactions occurring between January 3, 2025, and January 21, 2026, were revealed with a combined value of $1,277.26.

Bunnell Police Chief David Brannon said, “Fraud is theft, plain and simple. When someone abuses an employer’s trust for personal gain, we will investigate and bring the case before the court. This arrest reflects solid police work and our commitment to protecting victims and holding offenders accountable.”
