Airport Auto, the used car lot across State Road 100 from the Flagler Executive Airport, is no more.
After six decades in business, Patsy Devito, a long time Palm Coast resident, has retired at age 90, and the building has been razed, at 2 Midway Drive.
After managing a Dodge dealership in Watertown, New York, DeVito started his used car sales business in the early 1960s, in Ormond Beach, and later moved to Palm Coast. In Palm Coast, he renamed the business and added upholstery.
Over the years, DeVito said he has seen many changes in the automobile industry, including body styles, new engine technology, and overall performance.
“One could say, the used car business was Patsy's calling, because he always sold vehicles with the customer in mind, not monetary income,” said his friend, Rick Ellis.
The land was purchased by DBOG, based in New York, for $550,000, in September 2025.
