Two upcoming shopping plazas at the State Road 100 and Belle Terre Parkway intersection will bring major retailers to Palm Coast, including a Barnes and Noble and a 7Brew coffee shop.
In October, Palm Coast approved a mixed-use commercial development on the southwest corner of the intersection, near the Starbucks. The technical site plan for the 6.65-acre included space for a mixture of fast food restaurants, office space, retail and flex/industrial space.
According to development plan documents on Palm Coast’s website, several of those spaces now have tenants. So far, the lots include a 7Brew coffee shop, an Avecina Urgent Care, a Stanton Optical, medical offices, and more, with other spaces still available for lease.
A development order was issued in December, and phase one of the plaza — the buildings on the north end of the property — is now under construction.
Meanwhile, across the street at the Palm Coast Landing shopping center, an almost 50,000-square-foot addition is being planned for the empty lot behind the roundabout at Landings Boulevard. The new addition includes three retailers: a Barnes and Noble, a Home Goods and a Five Below.
The Home Goods will be the larger space in the center, with 25,000 square feet of space set aside. Barnes and Noble is planned for the west side of the building and has 15,000 square feet, while the proposed Five Below will be at the east end, at 8,500 square feet in size.
Almost 250 parking spaces are already in place, with three entrances and exits into the lot. The new retailers will bring in an estimated additional 1,636 net new daily trips, according to the traffic report.
The project is still under review by the city.
