Paul Leonard Chambery, born June 4, 1958, passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Paul grew up in Smithtown, New York, alongside his three brothers, Keith, Robert, and Vincent. As a teenager, he was an active member of the PJ Folksingers at St. Philip and James Catholic Church, where his love of music took root. He especially enjoyed playing the drums, a passion that remained a meaningful part of his life.
Paul pursued his education with dedication, earning an A.S. in Mortuary Science from Florida State College at Jacksonville and later a Bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He approached his work and studies with pride, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility.
A devoted sports fan, Paul had an unwavering love for the New York Yankees and the New York Jets. He also cherished time as a Little League Coach and Youth Religious Instructor. Paul also enjoyed time spent fishing and being with his family—moments that brought him joy, peace, and connection. Paul was a man of faith and a true believer.
Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Diane, and by the family he cherished so deeply. He leaves behind his Son Christopher and his Wife Jamie, along with their children Lexi, Luke, and Lindsay, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also survived by his Daughter Jillian and her fiancé David, and by his youngest Daughter Danielle, her partner Amani, and his beloved Granddaughter Violet.
A proud and loving father and grandfather, Paul found immense happiness in each of them and held his family at the center of his life.
He is preceded in death by his Father Pasquale D. Chambery.
He is also survived by his mother, Beryl Chambery, his three Brothers, Sister in laws as well as many Nieces and Nephews who will forever hold his memory close.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his loyalty, and the steady, comforting presence he offered to everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will miss him deeply.
