Choppers, sport bikes, trikes and even scooters cruised into Volusia County for the 85th annual Daytona Beach Bike Week bringing the bling, the leather and a party atmosphere.
This year, the Budweiser Clydesdales joined the festivities as the company celebrates 150 years of operation. The full-hitch of eight horses pranced down Main Street on Sunday, Mar. 1, and again on Saturday, Mar. 7. They were also seen at Sopotnik's Cabbage Patch before the women's coleslaw wrestling event, at the Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Flea Market, and various cities throughout the county.
Highlights of the event included live music at multiple venues, motorcycle races, stunts, and giveaways. Eli Tomac won the Daytona Supercross for the eighth time this year, and Josh Herrin raced to his fifth Daytona 200 win at the Daytona International Speedway.
Local band Are Friends Electric opened for 38 Special at Teddy Morse's Daytona Harley-Davidson's Pavilion stage on Friday, March 6. In between the acts, Morse rode a 2026 H-D Road Glide to center stage for the Rolling Daytona Bike Giveaway. Nine qualifiers lined up on stage, and each was given a key to start the bike. St. Louis resident Andrea Eggleston turned the key, and the motorcycle started.
Riders cruised Main St. and savored the final day of Bike Week on Sunday, Mar. 8. Many will return for the 34th annual Biketoberfest scheduled for Oct. 15-18, this year.
