Ormond Beach to celebrate America's 250th with annual fireworks show

Heading to Ormond Beach's Independence Day Celebration? Here's what you need to know.

The City of Ormond Beach will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with its annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4.

The event will be held at Rockefeller Gardens, located at 26 Riverside Drive, and will begin at 8 p.m. The city will host live music, food trucks, a kids' zone and a firework show at 9 p.m. The city encourages attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets. 

Here is what you need to know if you and your family plan to celebrate the Fourth of July with the City of Ormond Beach.

Parking

Public parking is available at three locations: behind City Hall (30 S. Beach St.), at The Casements (25 Riverside Drive) and at Fortunato Park (2 John Anderson Drive).

Handicapped parking will be available at Bailey Riverbridge Gardens (1 N. Beach St.)

According to a map shared by the city, public parking is also available at the parking lots for the Ormond Memorial Art Museum (78 E. Granada Blvd.); the Post Office (55 E. Granada Blvd.); Anderson-Price Memorial Building (42 N. Beach St.); the lot at 56 N. Beach St.; Ormond Beach Elementary (100 Corbin Ave.); and the lot at 179 Tomoka Ave.

Shuttle information

Ormond Beach is providing a free shuttle for residents on the Fourth of July.

The shuttle will start running at 7:30 p.m. and will pick up people in front of City Hall for drop-off at Rockefeller Gardens. Return routes will also be offered.

The shuttle service will end at 9:45 p.m. The shuttle is wheelchair accessible.

Closures

Cassen Park will close at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, to prepare for the fireworks show. The city states there will be no entry or exit after that time. 

Additionally, South Beach Street in front of City Hall and Cassen Park, between West Granada Boulevard and Tomoka Avenue, will be closed.

The Casements will be closed for tours on Saturday, July 4. 

City Hall and all non-emergency facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours will resume on Monday, July 6.
