The main access point for the River-to-Sea Preserve in Flagler County will close beginning Feb. 2 as emergency dune restoration work shifts from MalaCompra Park.

The River-to-Sea Preserve parking lot will be closed until March 13, a Flagler County press release said. The contractor will be moving all the equipment from MalaCompra Park to begin emergency dune work at River-to-Sea. Sand deliveries to the Preserve will likely begin on Feb. 6.

Residents and visitors should use caution around the construction equipment and sand delivery trucks. MalaCompra Park will reopen early in February.
