Tomoka Christian Church in Ormond Beach will serve as a host site for the 2026 Night to Shine, a global celebration honoring people with special needs, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

The event will take place Friday, Feb. 13, joining hundreds of churches around the world that will host Night to Shine celebrations simultaneously. The event is designed to recognize and celebrate individuals with disabilities as valued and honored members of their communities.

Night to Shine is held annually on the Friday before Valentine’s Day. While each host church creates a unique local experience, the celebration includes several hallmark activities shared worldwide. Guests are welcomed with a red-carpet entrance and cheers from volunteers and “paparazzi,” followed by amenities such as hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, limousine rides, karaoke, dancing and a catered dinner. Additional features include a Sensory Room, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, and a closing ceremony in which every guest is crowned king or queen.

Tim Tebow, former NFL quarterback and founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation, described the event as deeply meaningful.

“Night to Shine is my favorite night of the year,” Tebow said. “We get to celebrate so many Kings and Queens and share how much they are loved by us and by the God of this universe. Our goal is to get to every person with special needs around the world — until all are celebrated.”

As the event sponsor, the Tim Tebow Foundation provides host churches with extensive support, including a planning manual, guidance from foundation staff, access to financial grants and other resources to help create a memorable experience. Host churches also gain access to Shine On, a faith-based disability ministry of the foundation that offers education, community and ongoing support for individuals and families impacted by disability.

Over the past 11 years, Night to Shine has reached more than half a million honored guests worldwide, supported by more than one million volunteers through participating churches.
