Flagler Palm Coast’s boys basketball team has won four games in a row to improve to 11-6 heading into a road game against Father Lopez on Jan. 14.
Included in that streak was a 73-60 upset of New Syrna Beach on Jan. 6. The Barracudas (14-3) entered that game with just one loss. The Bulldogs had balanced scoring in the game with Nate Perry and Anthony Hampton each scoring 18 points and Nateshawn Royal and Siah Sanders adding 14 points apiece. Sanders had a double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds. Tony Coates added 7 points and 7 rebounds.
FPC returns home on Thursday, Jan. 16, for a 7:30 p.m. game against Neptue Beach Fletcher.

Seabreeze High School teacher and coach Paul Shuler broke a 31-year old record at the Florida Senior Games on Dec. 14 in Pasco County.
Shuler won the 1,500-meter run in the 60-64 age group with a time of 5:03.53, breaking Everett Crum’s 1994 record of 5:07.00 set in 1994. Shuler also had the fastest time overall in the event. He also placed second in his age group and overall in the 800 meters with a time of 2:29.99.
The Seabreeze wrestling team went 6-3 at the DeLand Duals on Jan. 10. Three Sandcrabs went undefeated, led by senior Jayne Gainer, who was 9-0. Freshman Kaidin Lui and junior Casen MacDonald were each 5-0. The Sandcrabs improved to 10-5 in dual matches.
Gainer is 20-2 at 165 pounds on the season while Zane DePaula in 18-3 at 215 pounds. Seabreeze will compete in the Viper Classic at Space Coast High School on Jan. 17.
Victor Ortiz of Palm Coast won for the second time in a row in the BMX State Series on Jan. 11 in Naples. He will try to wrap up first place in his division at the series’ fourth event Feb. 20-22 in St. Augustine.
