Registration is now open for Palm Coast's "Keep PC Clean" event on April 11.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and volunteers will meet at the Public Works Department at 1 Wellfield Grade, just off US-1, to gather necessary supplies. The last Keep PC Clean event had over 30 volunteers and collected over 750 pounds of trash, a City of Palm Coast press release said.

Numerous roadways have been earmarked as focus areas for the event, including Palm Coast Parkway, Belle Terre Parkway, Belle Terre Boulevard, and more, the press release said, or volunteers can choose their own areas for cleanup.

Palm Coast will provide gloves, eco-friendly trash bags, refreshments and necessary safety measures. Participation is free, and students can earn volunteer hours during the event. Individuals or groups interested in volunteering can reach out via email to [email protected]

Every volunteer will receive a Certificate of Completion and be acknowledged as a "Litter-Free Ambassador" for their contributions, the press release said.

The event itinerary is as follows:

8 - 8:30 AM: Briefing & introduction, along with location assignments

9 -11:30 AM: On-site cleanup

11:30 PM: Closing Ceremony to Celebrate a Litter-Free Victory back at Public Works
