The first babies of 2026: Halifax Health, AdventHealth Daytona Beach celebrate New Year's Day births

The first baby born in Halifax Health was a baby girl named Bethany Grace. The first baby at AdventHealth Daytona Beach was a baby girl named Everly.

Halifax Health welcomed its first baby of 2026 at 10:54 a.m. on New Year's Day, Jan. 1. 

The baby girl, named Bethany Grace, weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces. In a press release, the

hospital said her mother, Katelynn Robinson, was elated on the arrival of her daughter.

“It’s just amazing,” Robinson said. “She’s so new and so perfect. We feel blessed.”

 The family was gifted a basket of baby items put together bby Halifax Health and Tanger Outlets, along with a complimentary photo package from Baby Face Portraits.

A baby girl named Everly was the first baby to be born in 2026 at AdventHealth Daytona Beach.

The hospital celebrated the birth of Everly at 11:10 a.m. on New Year's Day, Jan. 1. Everly weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 19 inches long.

She was the third baby to be born in the AdventHealth East Florida Division. The first baby was born at AdventHealth Waterman in Lake County — a baby boy named Hayden Shane Overfield, born at 1:18 a.m. to parents Nichole and James Overfield of Grand Island. Hayden weighed 5 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 18.5 inches long.

The second baby in the division was born in Volusia County, at AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City. Parents Yamilette Martinez and Emmanuel Bird, of Deltona, welcomed baby girl Ella Annalise Bird at 4:09 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 21 inches long.
