The Sporting Palm Coast soccer club traveled with eight teams to southern Georgia to compete in the annual Savannah United Elite Cup recently.
Despite the snow and cold conditions, four teams returned home as champions and three as finalists.
The champions were the 2017, 2012 and 2011 Boys Elite and the 2014 Girls Elite.
The finalists were the 2015 & 2013 Boys Elite and the 2013 Girls Elite.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School of Palm Coast won the Diocese of St. Augustine volleyball championship by defeating Blessed Trinity of Jacksonville, 27-25, 21-25, 15-13 in the finals.
Tied 25-25 in the first game, Izabel Agostinho served two aces to win the game 27-25. Down 11-13 in the tie-breaker, SEAS won four straight points to win the championship.
The girls team won the regular season and tournament championships with an undefeated (13-0) record. Izabel Agostinho was named the tournament MVP for her outstanding performance. Sophia Girgus, team captain Catelina Estinvil and Samantha Collins were named to the All-Conference team. Team members are: Francesca DelBonis, Vivian Vadurro, Annalyn Puntillo, Marleigh Manimbo, Ariana Alicea, Simone Garcia, Agostinho, Girgus, Estinvil, and Collins.
SEAS has won four regular-season championships and two tournament championships in the last five years with a combined record of 56-6. The team is coached by Jody Marolf.
