Shark Coast FC hosted the 12th annual East Coast Florida High Soccer Senior All-Star Games on Wednesday, April 15, at the New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex, bringing together top senior players from Volusia, Flagler, St. Johns and Putnam counties.

The event featured both a girls and boys match, giving graduating seniors one final opportunity to represent their high schools on the field.

The girls game ended in 1-1 draw with Lizzy Barry from New Smyrna Beach and Lucky Boren from Seabreeze each scoring a goal. In the boys game, the white jerseys defeated the dark jerseys 5-0. Seabreeze’s Luke Harrell scored two goals.

The event has grown significantly over the years with participation expanding to multiple counties.

“This event began because there was just too much local talent to limit it to one player per school,” said Reg Monsanto of Shark Coast FC.

Beginning next year, the event will be renamed the Shark Coast High School Soccer Senior Invitational All-Star Game, reflecting its connection to Shark Coast FC’s mission of building a pathway for local players from youth to the collegiate and pre-professional levels.
