Ormond Beach Police celebrate retirement of Sgt. David Lank

Lank retired in late March after 15 years with OBPD.

Ormond Beach Police Sgt. David Lank retired from the Ormond Beach Police Department in late March, following 15 years with the local law enforcement agency.

OBPD recognized his retirement in a post on Facebook.

"Known to many as 'Papa Lank,' he was more than just an exceptional officer," the post reads. "He was a mentor, a leader, and someone who made those around him better, both on and off the job. His steady support and guidance left a positive impact for the next generation of officers. We are so incredibly proud and grateful for his service to our community."

Lank started working with OBPD in 2011. He retired on March 25.
